Chile and Easter Island

Every where we look we see small pieces of ice falling into the water known as "Calving".

Calving, is the breaking of ice chunks from the edge of a glacier. It is a form of ice ablation or ice disruption and is normally caused by the glacier expanding.

A large piece has just slipped out of the ice shelf.

The reflection in the still water was incredible.

A group returning from the land back to the Skorpios.

Calving just beginning from the ice shelf above.

The ice is thousands of feet high.
