My name is Jim Schroder, a native Californian born in San Diego, California. A few months later our family moved to Oceanside, California, putting down roots, in the northern most part of San Diego County on the beautiful Pacific Ocean.
My early years were spent working as a teenager at our parent’s large Restaurant and Hotel where I eventually took over and managed the entire complex for 38 years.
With the hospitality business we continually had guests from all over the world staying with us at our hotel for both business and pleasure. My interest in travel was born at an early age in life meeting and talking with our guests and making lifelong friends from around the world.
At age 17, 4 days after graduating from High School, I took off for Europe traveling for 2 1/2 months through 13 countries. I was hooked on travel from that first trip.
Through the years I have continued to travel visiting 152 countries. Photography and travel has been my passion for years. My motto has always been “Friendship Moves The World”.
