Local women work together to make baskets by hand
I purchased these items and asked who made them. They were so proud to have their photo taken of their hand made items.
How do you choose just a few items to purchase?
I think we have a model in the making here..
Items we had purchased to give to the families.
What a memorable visit to this Village.
You should have seen the big smiles when each of them saw their photo in the group.
Best Buddies
We stopped at a farmhouse for lunch with a family. Here the wife shows us how to find the Cassava root which we were having for lunch too..
Here we have it.
Polenta was on the menu and guess who was selected to stir it up. Yours truly.
Polenta is a dish of boiled cornmeal that is historically made from other grains.
Here we have the finished product after I stirred and stirred it.. ha
A fun lunch stop. Family members waving goodbye.
