I went next door to another hotel which was much taller and to the roof top bar to take night time photos of the city of Baku.

Leaving town  to the Georgian border at Lagodekhi a few miles from town as well as by a small airfield.  We have enjoyed the hospitality of the locals in Azerbaijan. They have been very friendly as well as helpful.

Departing Baku this morning we view some of the old Soviet era apartment buildings alongside the highway
The City Hall is with the Government Building one of the few beautiful buildings from the Soviet era .
