Mohammed Mosque and Minaret in the old town of Baku
Leaving town  to the Georgian border at Lagodekhi a few miles from town as well as by a small airfield.  We have enjoyed the hospitality of the locals in Azerbaijan. They have been very friendly as well as helpful.
The interior walls of the residence are covered entirely with frescoes painted at different times during the eighteenth century. Many of the frescoes feature flowers in vases, while a series of paintings on the first floor halls depict hunting and battle scenes.

The Center houses a conference hall (auditorium), a gallery hall and a museum. The project is intended to play an integral role in the intellectual life of the city. Located close to the city center, the site plays a pivotal role in the redevelopment of Baku.

Grapes going to Market. We say goodbye to Azerbaijan as we get ready to leave the country to enter the country of Georgia. Thank you for the memories. They are all positive and good memories.
Interesting with all this beef hanging in the air I saw no  flies
In the distance from the roof top of the hotel next door you can see the colors of the Flame Towers changing.
The Heydar Aliyev Center is a 619,000 sq ft building complex in Baku, Azerbaijan designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid and noted for its distinctive architecture and flowing, curved style that eschews sharp angles.

Selling ice cream is an art and a game. Here a young boy tries to take the ice cream cone from the vendor.  The vendor twirls and pulls the ice cream cone back and forth. It is a fun time to watch the children laugh and try to catch the ice cream cone.
Onto Telavi 45 kilometers, 27 miles to our next evening stop in Georgia.
Large Interior  portions of the residence's facade, including the entire southern elevations of the central halls on both floors, are covered by a mosaics..
I went next door to another hotel which was much taller and to the roof top bar to take night time photos of the city of Baku.
